What you see using your eyes is less than what you see using your mind.

You see the sentence above, and you read it word for word.

By expending some mental energy, your mind grasps the meaning of a sentence you have just read, and you might think of the old clich�: �The whole is greater than the sum of its parts�. The meaning of a sentence is something more than what the words mean when taken in some other order.

An uninhibited little child knows without being told, that what you see using your eyes is much less than what you see using your mind. The uninhibited little child reaches out to take an object up in his hands and manipulate it. Later the more mature person mainly just looks, because he�s been socially conditioned. For years he was repeatedly rebuked or slapped for letting the inborn wisdom of his body control his actions. Children who can�t keep their hands off things get punished.

Seeing includes intuition. The intuitive person sees more with his mind even if he can�t see enough with his eyes. A man uses his sense of hearing, and his sense of smell, and his hands and his other bodily senses to sense what�s true and right for him. But do others understand all that�s true and right? If mature people don�t use their hands to sense what�s true and right, they may have the wrong idea of all that a thing is, or can be. Their knowledge may be dangerously inadequate.

Do you see this glass container made to hold sixteen ounces of water? If I pour eight ounces of water into this container, and have twenty people look at it, some of them will say, �The glass is half empty.� Others will say, �The glass is half full.� A logical person will conclude that if everyone is looking at the same object, and speaking truly, then the word �full� means exactly the same thing as the word �empty.� Which is the fundamental error, logical-deductive reasoning, or the way people handle words, even using their mouths?

The fact is words are so funny, everyone who speaks should be laughing. But so many times, people who use words use them in anger. So clearly, some quality is missing in the human psyche. I�d call the missing quality awareness, logical thinking, and intuition.

Infants begin handling everything with their mouths, by using their hands to put everything into their mouths. Grownups know this mouthing is risky. And so why don�t thinkers worry about the words people still handle with their mouths? Some speechmakers have even motivated their followers to commit mass suicide.

From these observations, a person might come to suggest that if common speech is an easy way to get really confused, then we really need a better language than common speech to understand precisely and communicate to others exactly what is perceptible. But what language is this precise? Well, when we need to be as precise as we possibly can be, we use mathematics. And in every nation of the world, the language of mathematics is the same.

Do you follow the thought here? Even a simple speech involving what we can say about a glass of water gets us thinking in ways which might be considered a little strange. So why have so many talented and devoted philosophers spent their lives combining sophisticated mouthed words in new ways to create what seemed to at least a few disciples to be the better teaching?

As with the better mousetrap, so it is with the better philosophy. And people have beaten a path to the door of each new philosopher, or to his school, university, publisher, or temple, but still the old problem remains. If there truly were the best ethical and moral system under the best �Genius�, then the superior product would soon be applied in every community. And the wasteful social discord, conflict, misunderstanding, warfare, and the waste of natural resources, money, and manpower would diminish year after year, and sooner than people might imagine, cease.

Think of the great minds and the great books. Why is there still so much confusion and so much debate over morality and ethics? Philosophers keep barking up the wrong language tree. More precision in our thinking is needed, With the help of sensitive and developed human hands. To begin with, the whole human brain needs to be integrated, including the sense of knowing which is in developed and talented hands.

When it comes to truth, and to knowing, and to being right, it�s little use to know what�s true, but not be able to communicate your sense to others. And so from this we see with our minds that no profound philosopher was honored if he or she wasn�t also a great communicator. So now you are seated at the movie theater, listening to the music playing, waiting for the curtains to part. The wonderful new revelation you were promised you would see is about to flash brightly on the screen right before your eyes.

In essence, this revelation is simple. Once you really understand it, you�ll smile. And you�ll see with your mind how blind humanity has been, in not seeking out the overlooked philosophers who were wiser than the philosophers who were only the best communicators.

What was missing was the essential awareness. This awareness was missing in society, and in the philosophers as well. But in the past, an inspired philosopher wrote that at some time in the future, �The stone the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.� The source of this idea was intuition, but the message was only given in poetic metaphors. There are many more poetic metaphors which give information about this essential awareness. But the old seers couldn�t present a full report.

The prophet said that a little child shall lead. But when a little child leads with his hands, he gets punished. Integration of the whole intelligence of the little child is thereby prevented. And if a child takes twenty years to become mature in his non-integrated thinking, how many years do you think are required for a man who is twenty to become reformed or converted into a wholly mentally integrated person?

If the answer is twenty more years, then why wasn�t Jesus given twenty more years to teach what He had to teach?

Obviously the Jews and the Romans didn�t understand intelligence, or energy systems in corporations and in human brains. More understanding of this subject would help bring more understanding, more cooperation, and less waste of human talent.

The human mind has many input channels, that is to say means of gaining information. Minds also have output channels. Managing all these takes your time, talent, education, and energy. And you have been cultured to concentrate on seeing with your eyes and listening with your ears. In school you were trained to sit still, and listen, and look. Your body movement and your intuition weren�t trained to work better and better. And you had to keep your hands in abeyance.

The child shows a special talent according to his own special mental or brain activity. The brain activity of a great communicator is very different from the brain activity of a creative scientist and thinker. Thinking is hard work, and testing ideas can be risky and it takes a lot of energy. Courting and charming people and engaging them in scintillating conversation and becoming dear to them takes a lot of energy. But these talents are different. The fact is, Jesus probably frightened some people.

The great communicator devotes his brain energy to win followers and gain popular support. The creative scientist of the mind-body finds errors in education and in thinking which can lead to the waste of many gifted children and adults as well as to social catastrophes.

One thing which makes a correction possible is the increasing respect theoretical and experimental science has earned for itself, by making possible so many wonderful things which never were possible before. These include refrigeration of foods, radio telephones, vaccines and men walking on the lunar surface.

So now in your mental theater, you see clearly how each mature and developed human brain is an energy system like a successful corporation is. This is more than just a poetic metaphor.

A successful corporation focuses its energy on producing a certain line of services or products. General Motors doesn�t produce televisions or greeting cards. It�s the same way for developed adult working brains. And Ronald Reagan became a popular actor and a popular United States President because he was so talented at retaining visual and verbal information, and because he was so very gracious and personable. He also had the sparkling wit a very popular president must have, and he was handsome to look at. But Mr. Reagan wasn�t a profoundly original thinker, as well as a musical composer, artist, writer and an amateur scientist.

Some folks might object because my name isn�t followed by a string of advanced professional degrees. I�m a self-taught expert in a subject which many have told me is �ahead of the times�. What I demonstrate and teach isn�t yet being taught at any existing school or university that I know of. So there�s no Ph.D. in self-realization and whole-brain stimulation, development, integration and use. And some of the things I do make conventional people feel uncomfortable because they never were taught anything about this subject.

The curtain�s up now and the show�s in progress. What do you see in your mind as the music plays?

In the movie or in the stage performance, as my original music plays, and as my articles and poems are being read or recited by a person who is a fine orator, I can produce fine colorful art, at the rate of from ten to twenty or thirty paintings an hour.
